When Worlds Collide

When Worlds Collide
by Obed R. Souza

' We are citizens of two worlds. the world of time and the world of eternity.'

Martin Luther King

Two worlds within me collide:

A citizen of time and eternity alike

A clash of natures - this pain of mine

Departed from heavens, yet divine.

Love and hate: a path to pave.

Heart and reason, in such a collision

Crying for life to make a decision:

Of God a son - of sin a slave.

Battle finished - Some answers fallen apart

A thorn in my flesh - God´s finest piece of art.

Messenger and reminder I should take to heart:

From God his love - Jesus Christ, our best part.
