When You Have Nothing Left In Your Heart Poem by Alexander Foald

When You Have Nothing Left In Your Heart

And love wasn’t that lovely at all
When the blue inside goes by
Nothing can make me fall
But your sad face as you said goodbye

It’s like the world is crying down the rain
While I’m asking the same thing again and again
Why did you leave; what did I do wrong
Questions being absurd when you knew the answers

And life wasn’t that lively at all
When the dark can’t be defeated
I tried to light up the spot you left since
But it only made me know how lonely I’ve been

The air is so cold and the weather seems odd
The sun burns but I only feel the wound gets worse
And love isn’t that lovely at all
When you have nothing left in your heart

Very bittersweet. I enjoyed it.
