When You Leave Me Poem by Jacqueline Lewchanin

When You Leave Me

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes
When you leave me
I feel like a 3 year old child
In a crowd of knees.
The hand that tightly held mama's
Suddenly free -
In a panic tries to grab
The disappearing skirt.
I fall flat
Among the ankles
Knocking the wind right out of me
Just like
When you leave me.
