when you stood hiding in a remote dark corner
and stealthily gazed at the sun full of love
you looked lovely in full splendour charming the world-
but when you gathered the boldness and appeared before the sun
to declare your deep love in open light
what makes you so pale and dissolve your strong self, o moon?
