Whenever (A Free Verse Poem.)

Rating: 5.0

Whenever I hear birds singing
As I walk under tall, green trees
I shall think of you and smile

Whenever I hear a sweet wrapper
Rustling gently in the breeze
I shall remember you and smile

Whenever I long to hear the sound
Of your infectious, joyful laughter
I shall miss you always and smile.

A very special tribute to one who you looked after and suddenly died. So close to him, whenever you hear a sound of nature, you are reminded of him. This is heart warming.

This is enchanting John. 'Every time hear a sweet wrapper rustling in the gentle breeze, I shall think of you and smile'. Knowing the boy has autism makes it even more special. It is so hard for them to get through life as their perceptions come flooding in at such a pace they have to withdraw somewhat, but these children have very special qualities. Top marks! love Karin
