Where Can You Be Poem by Dennis Go

Where Can You Be

Where can you be
In the binding light
Of the cold-hearted season?
A year has passed
Evidently seeking refuge
From your subtle passion
Yet it remains untouched
By that cold, lowly light
Of your rejection.
I strayed the whole year
Without your companionship
And learned that life
Was merely living alone
In the dark closet
Of an empty room.
I am still not used
To the facts. Though
How hard it is
To be wary of affection,
I cannot claim the rights
On probing the innuendo
Of unwanted hearts.
