Where Eagles Soar Poem by Lowell Martin

Where Eagles Soar

Up high where eagles fly,
I watched them soar-
Far above me-
Near the celestial door.

One day I'll be lifted too,
To move beyond the stars,
To enter eternal peace,
Where God is,
Far beyond my earthly wars.

But for now,
I am pleased to wait,
Forgiven of my past,
Till angels beckon,
and open wide the golden gate,
And I come home at last.
