Crash Of Rain

WHERE IS BLISS

Burnt to crisp
Like steak
or grilled meat
On oven filled dirt
Flamed from anguish
Cooked from tears
Burnt to dry and wither
Forever on sands and ember
Too much pain
Too much risk taken
From the dark coals of skin
Rooted from the marrows of love
To love you more
I this world
Is such a venture of risk
O where is bliss.........

Poem of the Day

poet Edmund Spenser

My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
But harder grows the more I her entreat?
