Where Is His Heart? Poem by Bongo Beno Kabingesi

Where Is His Heart?

Rating: 4.5

Am I far from finding God?
Where is his heart?
Does David know
He pursued it so
It probably glows
Though, who really knows
As the summer ends and autumn starts
I'm begging God
To give me his heart

Is it something that you see?
Something seen easily?
It might just be a thought
A cold that can't be caught
By blood sold and bought
It might just be a thought
As the autumn ends and winter starts
I'm begging God
To hand me his heart

Does it beat a different tune?
Jazz, Disco or the blues?
Maybe a bit of Johnny Cash
Could bring summers from the past
Into sands of time cast
Sifting through the ash
As winter ends and spring starts
I'm asking God
Where is his heart?

Where is the heart of God? If you search earnestly with pure heart, you shall find it. Lovely piece of poetry. Keep it up and thanks for sharing.
