Where Will I Find You? Poem by B.M. Gray

Where Will I Find You?

Rating: 5.0

I know you are somewhere where beauty lies
maybe in the warmth of an old man's eyes.
Or in the pearls of morning dew,
that melt away when the sun breaks through.
I may find you amongst the trees,
of a mighty forest blowing in a soft gentle breeze
If I walk along this road will you be round the next bend,
or will you be waiting for me at the end
If I wish upon a shooting star,
will someone show me where you are
On a twilight walk, or a moonlit night,
when a golden harvest moon shines bright
When I hear the graceful wings of a dove,
when I miss your smiling face and your precious love.

I feel the gentle autumn rain land
it falls softly onto my waiting hand.
It seems to whisper softly into my ear,
don't cry my love, I am here.
You may not see me, you may not feel me
but reach into your heart and find a memory
Hold out your hand for me to hold,
I'll be right beside you till you grow old.
I will walk with you on moonlit nights
and when the sun rises big and bright
We will sit together listening to the song of birds
although I may not be able to tell you in words
You are my only love that is still true
and I will be here always with you

When you are old and ready to leave,
remind them they do not need to grieve
For we will be in a colorful place
dancing and singing with a smile on our face
We will be free of sorrow
there will be no tomorrow
No aches no pains no sadness or fear,
just happiness while we wait for our loved ones to get here.

Amazing imagery and confidence displayed in the beginning, I know you are some where where beauty lies, while recollecting the memoirs of the departed beloved. With wonderful rhyme the poem is very lovely. Thanks for sharing.10 points.

Beautiful romantic piece of poetry that captures the essence of love, well articulated and nicely penned in poetic diction with lovely rhyme scheme. An insightful depiction of voyage of bliss that is love, subtly written from the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing Gray. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
