Whether The Glass Breaks Poem by Sebastian Soberania

Whether The Glass Breaks

whether the glass on the table
falls and breaks into pieces
shatters everywhere
whether someone steps on them
and bleed

whether the cat causes the mess
or the dog
it does not matter

whether the door is locked last night
whether a thief comes in
and shall take the expensive figurines
whether my favorite dog dies
whether the roses bloom or wilt
whether the car does not start
or the garage door does not open

whatever, wherever, whoever, whenever
i do not care. i am tired. i want rest. i need peace.
i want this inner silence.

i am dying. my days are numbered.
please, please understand. this is not my home anymore.

take care.
the rest of you. all these and that and those. they are all yours.
goodbye. let there be no tears. no flowers, please.
bye baby.
