Whispered Lies Poem by Cat Crowther

Whispered Lies

The stars above are so bright,
the blessed moon gives me light,
lights the dark path i took,
a loud howl makes me look.
The moon is only a skinny sliver,
the chilled wind makes me shiver.
Now i know the path i chose,
is so much worse than all of those.
This dark path sends a chill down my spine,
hearing all the wolves high-pitched whines.
On this haunted path surrounded by trees,
all the hungry wolves, hunt for me.
The stars are my hope,
The moon is my guide,
as i am surrounded by all,
my hideous lies.
The shrill screams echo through the trees
as all the wolves are coming,
hunting for me.
