White Birds Poem by bob barci

White Birds

Rating: 5.0

White birds are flyin'
White birds are flyin' high.
Searching for candles
lost in the rain.
Candles were lit
for those who pray
and those who sing.
It was a peaceful time
for those who cared.
A peaceful bond
for all who showed.
They gathered candles
to strengthen the bond.
Wicks were lit
and held up high.
A peaceful gesture
for world wide love.

But the rains began
and the flame was doused.
Candles were lost and carried away.
The storm clouds never quite disappeared.
Above the clouds of despair
fly the white birds of peace.
They are the possessors of that special bond.

White birds are flyin', flyin' high.
Searching for candles
lost in the rain.
