White Feathers Poem by Emma Jane Rae

White Feathers

Still desperately trying,
To understand why,
God took you away,
And never let you say goodbye,

How much I regret,
Not replying to your last text,
I'd have sent a thousand messages,
If I'd have known what would happen next,

No matter how much I wish,
It will never bring you back,
The clock can not be rewound,
But your soul lives on it's a fact,

I know you leave me clues,
To tell me your still here,
Maybe not in body,
But our friendship I will always hold dear,

Little white feathers,
That catch my eye,
Letting me know,
It's not time to say goodbye.
