White Wings Poem by Opeyemi Borisade

White Wings

Rating: 5.0

In my picture when I sleep at night
Down by the rivers when the moon's at height
When the waters are cool & so thrill
Or the sounds I hear holds my breath still
The voice of an unseen bids me not to fear
& a great winged creature'll flutter from up there
Then the troubled river things'll sing their song with ease
While I find my way to the gentle morning breeze
I believe there are such beings as angels
'Cause I have felt the touch of their immortal fingers
