Whitney

I grew up around girls in boots and girls in skin tight jeans
Memories of old dirt roads and getting lost in my dreams
Never really thought a girl like that could be the girl for me
But there was something about you that made me have to see
So I walked right up and started a conversation
Two different worlds but nothing was lost in translation
Han no idea the there was a possibility of you and I being a thing
Had forgotten how beautiful it is to see a country girl sing
Took you out and you taught me to spin, dip, and twirl
Showed you my world and threw you for a swirl
There is so much more to you than meets the eye
You are strong, beautiful and have aspirations that exceed the sky
Not just some country woman looking for a country man
A courageous woman out in the world full of life and with a plan
Your smile, your face that dress clinging to your waist
Your hugs, your kisses I want so much more than a taste
You set a fire I me that inspires me to be there for you
Always by your side no matter what you are going through
I was scared shitless to ask you to be all mine
But the way I feel when I hold you is a clear sign
I take your hands ready to love you in any weather
Take a leap of faith and start a new chapter together

Tell me not (Sweet) I am unkind,
That from the nunnery

To war and arms I fly.

True, a new mistress now I chase,
