Who Is The Richest? Poem by Sharyaurai Riang

Who Is The Richest?

One thinks that person has a lot,

And he is at the top.

That person again thinks that another has more,

And his life is bore.

He can afford anything,

He says by calculating.

But is this calculation right?

One asks to another,

You have a lot, why you bother?

And second person says to the first one,

I’m empty, but you are like a sun.

I may know or don’t know,

Why people do so.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
*The above poem has a very deeper meaning… It is about the thinking, the mentality of human beings. This type of thought is from centauries. We always use to compare our self with others and make our self down in every filed like in case of wealth, health, knowledge etc.
The very above poem shows how we make our life miserable and uneasy by comparing… by thinking we have nothing… and hence, our lives became bore only because of our mentality…
If a person has nothing then he compares his life with a rich one and he always uses to be sad by thinking about that very person. Now that person who has been compared again compares himself with a more richer one and that richer with more richer….in this way the process goes on… Sometimes it has been observed that even the richer persons compare their life with the life of a poor one. And feels the poor person’s life is better than his.
In short it is the gist of the poem. But lastly I would like to say that I don’t know why people compare their life with the life of others…. But surely I know that everybody’s life is the best life…no matter in which situation they are living…being happy depends on the way one lives his life. If we stop comparing our self with others and develop a positive thinking about our own life…then, surely it will be the best life which the God has given you…. As it is said-“BE POSITIVE EVERYTHING WILL BE POSSIBLE AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY”……
