Who's Guilty? Poem by Eric Cockrell

Who's Guilty?

Rating: 2.8

they busted a young man,
for stealing a couple packs
of meat at the grocery store,
and running...

but they stole his chances...
for a job, for an education,
for today, and for tomorrow!

now his wife and baby sit alone
in a bare apartment with no electricity...
they stole their hope!

who's guilty?

A great poem, i've seen this happen, young men jailed for next to nothing. Some very bad things got done to these young men. A great write.
