Who Was She? Where Is She? Poem by Nikhil Chandwani

Who Was She? Where Is She?

My eyes fluttered and opened. I looked dazedly into the eyes of an angel, gradually, I began the conversation with elegance and passion...

I stared at her gloomy sparkling eyes, loosing my soul inside the depth of the ocean, her smile, but all of a sudden I stumbled walking.

'Are you okay? ' she asked worriedly, her forehead creasing adorably with sweetness and compassion.

I nodded, taking the time to check her out. SHe had dark stormy eyes that made her want to swoon.

She had deep innocent dimples, That Was enough to drive me to other side of the moon.

She was a little angel and the wings sprouting from her back were black and leathery, like a bat.

She blushed her hands over my shoulders and a white colored energy radiation encircled my hands like a cat.

'Wait a second, ' I said, and ran that thought by my brain again: the wings from her body were sprouting her back…

'You have wings? ! ' I choked, and fainted again beneath my shoe rack.

Two minutes later I regained consciousness. I looked around, but the bat-girl was nowhere to be found.

'Grrrr, ' I growled. 'Evil conniving little bat.' I gasped looking all along the ground.

I looked at my left hand, and my right hand. There was no refection of any color 'Maybe it was just a dream, ' I said after examining every centimeter of my exposed skin and finding absolutely nothing.

I got to my feet, and brushed myself off. After surveying my surroundings again, I came to the inevitable conclusion that she was painful miss.

So I picked a direction and started walking to find her. If it had been daytime, I would have noticed that I was heading directly towards a muddy lake,

but because the moon was hidden behind some clouds, I didn't notice the lake until I was in it at first take.

The cold surprised me, and I instinctively gasped.

The cold slimy water filled my mouth and nose, and I sank to the bottom of the lake, where air lacked.

My skimpy costume didn't offer much warmth, so I felt chilled to the bone.

I kicked up to the surface again, and sucked as much air as I could, but I got hit on my body with a stone.

I felt a sharp pain in my chest as the cold air met my warm insides.

I suddenly felt tired, and my eyelids grew heavy in this fight between tides.

'No, ' I thought, 'I can't go to sleep. I have to stay awake, or I'm gonna die.'

But against my will, my eyes drifted closed, and before I fell asleep I heard a voice say 'Hells, how many times do I need to save you' accompanied with a cry.

I opened my eyes and found myself surrounded by clouds.

'Where am I', I cried aloud.

In matter of seconds, I saw a beautiful eyes, showing me something at last.

I obscured and noticed my lovely past.

She stopped in between and tears rolled over her eyes.

She expressed me her love and her fight against hurt and Disguise.…

She cried her loneliness moisturizing the sands.

I continued to draw closer and held her hands

She needed a friend, a true companion.

As soon as I tried to induct a new friendship, she suddenly disappeared with a ray on a sun.

I thought whole day, with my heart, still touched by her soul.

I knew she ll be back as soon as sun's over with it's role.

But it wasn't so, She was no where seen for many days.

'I beg, please take me with u', I screamed for an angel, every night after the sun surrendered it's rays.

For months and years, I cried and waited.

Just because, in a matter of few hours a love story was created.
