    You're right....that person will be sorry one day. You'll turn out to be a success Katie and you will have only yourself to thank for it! I know it's hard when we don't have that support system that we want. My mom didn't go to my high school graduation (even though I was the first {and only} out of five kids) , she didn't go to my college graduation.....neither parent when to my wedding (so we went to the courthouse) . I'm okay though! I say hey, if they don't want to be a part of my life...it's their loss. Try not to focus on what you don't have but more on what you do have (and where you are going....you'll get there!) I believe in you Katie. And, I'll be there......at least in spirit!
