Who You Are Poem by Shelly 945

Who You Are

From different places we all come
In life it shouldnt matter where you're from
You should be able to be who you want to be
you should be able to live life, and be free

Color, religion, we're really all the same
In this world, we all have one aim
To be able to follow our dreams and make them come true
wether you're a christian, muslim, or even a jew...

We get judged by our race
By the color of our face
Where you live, what you drive, what you wear
Shouldnt describe you as a person, judging is not fair

It all matters on who you are inside
we shouldnt turn away we shouldnt, hide
Were even judged by being straight or gay
We need to stand up, things shouldnt be this way

Every day is another day
Another chance to go your own way
Say what you want to say, be who you want to be
To living life, that is the key

The haters dont know you, so ignore them
And you'll go far
Dont let them stop you from being,
Who You are!
