Whoever's Listening

More neighbours round about me
My company defy
Pretend my presence not to see
So close I'd hear them sigh

Even those, good friends for so long
Colleagues, employed as one
Not to hear salvation's song
Afar I'll see them run

What can one do, what could one say
Graceful, laced with love
Neighbours, friends, others astray
Revealing Life's Way above

One can feel lonely in a crowd
Sad in various ways
Faithful, knowing, waiting Christ's cloud
Love can often amaze

An inner song, a tender thought
A single look on high
On a sun baked beach, or ski resort
One lives a perfect lie

God loves His children, one and all
Offspring from every land
Tenderly loving, who'll heed Life's call
Safe in Christ Jesus' hand

So neighbours or friends, hiding
Colleagues willing to run
Sooner than late, join me riding
Beyond the stars and sun

Jesus is reaching out His hand
Inviting you to see
These written words, to understand
Jesus will! ! ! is to free.....
