You were all I ever wanted yet you were all I despise,
You were perfect on the outside but on the inside you were filled with lies,
You didn’t care about me and you tore apart my heart,
Even though I let it go for so long I felt it from the start,
I was blinded by my love so I couldn’t see,
How quickly you were tearing me apart and hurting me,
Then as I began to see I quickly closed my eyes,
I didn’t want to know the truth I wanted to hear the lies,
I couldn’t face the fact that you weren’t the same,
Even though I cared so much you played me like a game,
But now it’s over and even though it should be,
I always close my eyes and dream of how it could be.
