Why Can'T There Be A Drought? Poem by Anna Christine

Why Can'T There Be A Drought?

Why Can't There Be A Drought?

The rain keeps falling
Of the people balling
It's unfair,
Why doesn't anyone care?

We try to make it through
But it's hard to face what's true.
We think it's near to the end
But it's not just around the bend.

We think we can just shrug and go on
But it's not even near dawn.

With no doubt,
'Why Can't There Be A Drought? '
