Why Can'T We Be Friends Poem by Andrew Evans

Why Can'T We Be Friends

Rating: 5.0

All the young soliders dying
All The Mothers crying
A father weeps for his only son
This is how the War was won
We send our troops into the sand
We use our tanks to fight on the land
We Attack with fire from the skies
We send people in as spies
The War is won with a single battle
our troops are sent over like cattle
The Price of war is very steep
And yet the politicians treat life as if it were so cheap
The War is won with others to come
Let's stop the violence and at least ACT like chums
There's no need to systematically clense
I mean after all
Why can't we be friends
