Why Do I Love You? Poem by Josh Erys

Why Do I Love You?

Rating: 5.0

why do I see her in your eyes,
why do I look at you and feel
the warmth of living?
Why do my heart dance
whenever I hear your voice,
why do I love you so much?
Why does life feel
meaningless without you?
The questions in my heart,
my mind seek for an answer
if there's any. Like an arrow,
love pierced my heart
and like an antidote,
love is the pill my heart takes
for survival. If there be any love
greater than the one
your heart breeds then,
I care not. For thy love alone
pleases my heart, thy love alone
gives my heart succour.
