Why should I praise?

Why should I praise the sun?
Everybody know it by its brightness
Why should I praise the moon?
Everybody know it by its whiteness
Why should I praise you Jesus
Everybody know you by your greatness

Why should I praise the water?
Everybody know it by its purity
Why should I praise the wind?
Everybody know it by its speed
Why should I praise you Jesus
Everybody know you by your healing

Why should I praise the earth?
Everybody know it by its fruit
Why should I praise the sky?
Everybody know it by its wideness
Why should I praise you Jesus
Everybody know you by your word

Why should I praise you Jesus
For all the things you did
You did one thing many times to me
That is “Help”
I told you many times only two words
That is “Thank you”

Amen.

Poem of the Day

poet Sara Teasdale

Only in sleep I see their faces,
Children I played with when I was a child,
Louise comes back with her brown hair braided,
Annie with ringlets warm and wild.
