Why The Famous Muscular Champion Lost? Poem by nimal dunuhinga

Why The Famous Muscular Champion Lost?

Rating: 5.0

He holds the title since a long time in the ring.
But he never expected a defeat
By a feather weight skinny boxer
Who comes from a shanty it seems.
Following day of the defeat
The newspaper's bold head line reads everybody;
'Unexpected punch was so hard from a starved soul's fist.'

Muscles certainly don't 'maketh the man' as you show here so cleverly in this fine poem about the determination and grit of the down-trodden. There is so much more to your poems than appears on first reading. Your soul is in the right place. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Cheers for the skinny boxer! Righteous anger Is very satisfying to the soul. He needed to win one. Powerful and evocative. Excellent write. Kind regards, Sandra
