Wide Awake In Wonderland Poem by Oscar Mork

Wide Awake In Wonderland

Rating: 4.0

I belong
To the stars I have sung
High above for you,
my love

To the stars I would sail
I chase a childrens tale
High above for you,
my love

Who am I?

The words that you spoke
Summoned the bitter sound of lie
Talking of a love I knew surely would die,
my love

Promises I made
With a undertone of hate
a hate unspoked that altered into sweet words
of love

Where am I?

Who the Hell am I?

Why are you here
With questions in your head
are you here to reason instead

Why should I care
I`ll spill your blood in in the evening breeze
My life and beauty is about to release

As I am here
I summon the world
In a land of my own making
discover my world

Awake in life
Their eyes are open
but still they are asleep
They can not see
What so surely be

In Wonderland

I am Wide Awake

As I stand
Before this unknown crowd
It comforts me
Those faces
like children waiting to be salvated

I am Wide Awake
