Wide Open



I sleep with my eyes wide open
I use the darkness as my blanket
The darkness covers my body but not my mind
My thoughts are awake and wandering
I wish I could smother them with my pillow of tears
I can not sleep
For there is only one way how
And
There is only one thing I dream about
