Widow Poem by Cardinal Chang

Widow

Laughter and smiles of the past
Life has gone by so fast
Death comes easy to me now
Tired of life's ups and downs
We die to find we never leave the ground
We stay trapped in this shell
Only to learn we already live in hell

When one such day comes
And my life is undone
I will lay there a broken man
Just as I stand as one now
My soul will never leave the ground
For as the christians say, i'm a sinner
And my afterlife only gets dimmer
