stunned at the sight of you

my blood
hushed at the sound of you

my blood
tripping over it’s own pulse

when you stand
too near

my blood crying out
for you

thesightthesoundthenearness
of you.

My love
bleeding

bleeding for you

as you remove
your nurse’s uniform.
