Will Rogers Park Poem by Marilyn Lott

Will Rogers Park

Rating: 2.8

I’ll tell you about a wonderful park
I know because I went there one time
It has fountains and flowers so lovely
No prettier park could you ever find

It’s named after a great man
Yes, Will Rogers is the man I mean
A statue is there to celebrate this guy
Who lived a special kind of dream

Such a peaceful place it is to see
On a lovely spring or summers day
Why, you can take the entire family
Let the kids run around and play

Perhaps a picnic would be nice
Amongst the birds and the bees
A beautiful blue cloudless sky
Peek out from atop the trees

I hope you get the chance I did
To visit the Will Rogers Park
Relax and take your time and stay
From morning until it gets dark!
