Will We Ever Learn?

He was He is He’ll always be
Jesus throughout eternity
The living word ere time began
Alpha, Omega, God and Man

Three enthroned in Heaven’s glare
Glorious Light beyond compare
Salvation dawned through Christ on earth
Restoring man through second birth

Till then condemned, man walked in shame
Adam and Eve were both to blame
They disobeyed the Lord’s command
So God shut tight His hallowed land

In flame! God’s door stayed tightly sealed
Till Jesus Christ, the truth revealed
For though God’s word to all was free
Through sin, few eyes the truth could see

From past mistakes we must progress
But man it seems could care no less
Evil seduced! The human race-
Must now repent and seek God’s face

Unseen! The Lord may still be heard
True faith perceives His guiding word
The choicest wine the strongest meat
A lamp to all His children’s feet

Though mercy reigns on Heaven’s throne
Though Jesus’ heart’s not made of stone
No single word can God deny
That from His lips He spoke from high

Yet who’ll take heed and not rebel?
Who’ll flee God’s wrath and certain hell?
Who’ll bear in mind the wife of Lot?
Who’ll reign with Christ when time’s forgot?
