Will We Never Learn

Wars come and wars go
and hardly ever leave
in between peace comes
but shortly leaves

holocausts
leave their mark
should be remembered
for ever and a day

will we never learn
war should not return

Men may come, men may go, but I go on for ever, says the stream.
Wars may come, wars may go, but stop this cruel war, says the poet.
Muscle power and money power rule the world today. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
