Wind: Violent, Beautiful Poem by The Dreamers Movement

Wind: Violent, Beautiful

You are the wind

The violent, beautiful wind

That stole my words

And stole my breathe away

When I first saw you

Heard you

Felt you

You seemed so timid

But I was mistaken

You are more than timid

You are far beyond that

You are bold like the wind

You stole my heart

The moment I let you see me

See the real me

I loved you in that moment

I look back on who I was

Who I used to be

And realize that you

You made a better me

You made me into someone

Who is worth more than

More than anything on earth

Priceless: I am to You

I still don't understand how

How you stole this

This wretched heart of mine

So used, broken from life

Life and lies

Made me who I was

Now life and love

Make me who I am

Thank you for being

That violent, beautiful wind

That stole my breathe away

And took the words out of me

Now I pray that

All the words I speak are yours

'Cause your words speak

Truth to hearts; broken and beaten

Because I know

They spoke to me

When my heart was

Broken and beaten
