Windows Poem by Maddy Jones

Windows

Rating: 3.5

What do you see,
When you peer into my eyes?
Do you see sadness,
Or are you none too wise?

Do you see the pain
That they try to disguise?
Holding back tears,
As if they had ties,

Are they intense,
Vibrant, and wild?
Or maybe they're tame,
Soothing, and mild?

Are they breathing alive,
Or so vapidly dead?
Do they often look down,
Or look up ahead?

Are they warm with heart,
Melting, and tender?
Or do they seem distant,
Like faded splendor?

The windows to the soul,
What do yours say?
And what do you think,
Of my eyes today?
