Windswept Night Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Windswept Night

Rating: 5.0

bluster in moonlight
all around lime trembling trees
and through fragrant fields

in a far flung dream
to be everywhere at once
under diamond stars

blooms have lost petals
there's howling in the valley
drowning out all sounds

raging's at the door
and all the windows rattling
cozy fires tonight

P2 in stanza 2, is both realistic of wind drop moments and adorable, dream imagery, everywhere at once, diamond stars, is a beautiful contrast compliment to the other wonderful energy images.

I wrote the poem 'Feel Wind Rising' inspired by the poem 'Windswept Night' by the poet Evelyn Judy Buehler and dedicated to Evelyn Judy Buehler.

P1 I love windswept nights, wild elemental unleashed energy. Your strong depictions of varying images of wind gusting screaming in stanzas 1,3 and 4, with the moment of calm in 'a far flung dream to be everywhere at once under diamond stars'
