Wine Poem by lamia harker

Wine

he rips sacred, secret into my soul
though he won't ever know

he lies through teeth
and carved lips of jewel
to curl my heart in twine

i want to forget his
word and eyes

but i sink in.. always known
and all alone

i just can't take it
he twists my heart into his
and leaves me there..
drowning

with the only love i've ever known
and he pulls me down
and i can never reach
the knife he wants me to find
