Wings Poem by Vonda Overlie

Wings

The pink curtains remain, meticulously hung and intended to keep out intruders, until you allowed them to enter.
Did I do everything I could to teach you to be strong, deep rooted to know you can do it on your own? I have faith that every idle word I enscribed to you, my girl you wear on your heart.
