Winter Night Walk Poem by Usman Anwar

Winter Night Walk

Rating: 5.0

A cold breeze I felt,
As I walked through dark street;
That was full of yellow leaves.
The frozen hands and numb red nose,
There were no lilies and rose.
The foggy night and the winter fragrance.
Tree showered those leaves,
Which are now under my feet.
As I moved forward in the lonely street,
There was a little sign of life.
In a dark, shadowy display;
That Life was at decay,
Shivering and starving in that place.
There was no shelter and shade.
It's time that we should debate;
But I've to wait till that day,
When I can sit in the same dark and shadowy display.
