Winterer Poem by nimal dunuhinga

Winterer

Rating: 5.0

Would this tropical seed grow in this rich soil
And become a Wintergreen one day
Or it may be winterkilled some day?
When I was watering to the rose bush in the morning
I deeply thought of myself.

This one has the economy and simplicity of a Haiku poem with a touch of Walt Whitman. Excellent verse. love, Allie xxxxxxxxxxxx

The eternal question. Winter may be kinder to you than you know. Very poignant, Nimal. Always your friend at poemhunter, Sandra
