Wiped Out Poem by Jean-Francois Denis

Wiped Out

Rating: 4.8

An empty file stands alone
They wiped out who I was and gave me a new home
Erased where my soul used to be
Swept away the whole memory from me
They did really believe I would never question
The answer they gave me as a definition
They did really think I would forever be ignorant
To keep living distant and to forever stay silent
Of the one I was suppose to become
And never look back on where I come from.

Do you know where someone really trace the line
On how much past you can leave behind?
They expect of me what they themselves could not do
And to bury the lies about all I never knew
Across the haze I would like your gazes in my eyes
So you could see the life I have been haunted of why's
Something I can not believe is the forgetting you did play
You never needed me and you did cast a child away lost along the way
Tonight I wish you think of me since the day we had part
Because, I would at least be cheerful to know you had a heart.
