Wisdom Bird Poem by Ima Ryma

Wisdom Bird

Rating: 4.8

I am called Wisdom and I be
The oldest wild bird that be known.
1951 - who hatched? Me!
Over three million miles I've flown.
I be a Laysan albatross.
My home be the Midway Atoll.
Six times I have been tagged across
My years for human study role.
Thirty six chicks I have done hatched.
The humans keep count of such things.
A Super Mom -I be unmatched.
Just day by day I spread my wings.

Two thousand fifteen - still Mom fit.
Upon my latest egg I sit.
