Wise Owl And The Younge Boy Poem by Edward Hall

Wise Owl And The Younge Boy

Rating: 5.0

A boy sat down to play his guitar
An owl observing from afar
The young boy plucked a G & a C
Two separate sounds pondered he

The wise owl whispered this is absurd! !
Those notes were separate that i heard
There is but a difference in each sound
No owl.. I bet you one English pound! !

boy! ! do you see the waves upon the lake
throw two stones and observe the wake
those ripples cross over and encompass the one
Now are your notions of separateness gone?

Yes.. i understand and see your light
Thank you owl for putting me right
The sun pierced the clouds and brightly shone
the young boy smiled knowing all is one
