Wish Away Poem by Ishan Chaitanya

Wish Away

Sometimes I wish myself away;
I could say that to you in simple words
But instead I decided to play the poet
'Cause poets, they - like me - get
Complicated sometimes
And they express simple things
In obscure verses and cloaked slogans
And they're haunted by the past as an inspiration
And they like seeing others get intrigued
By the lack of light shed
On the real meaning of what they're saying
And they hope against hope
They'll feed their hungry hearts some day
And they keep their innermost secrets
In real seclusion
And cherish their memories of sweet pains
And they cry at the world which has no ears for them
And...
And...
And sometimes they also wish themselves away.
