Wishful Thought?

Why is that
Happiness and peace
Are invested with
Swift wings,
I wonder
Whatever it's said
That happiness
Is but a state of mind
That peace emanates
From within,
After all we can't
Live in abstractions
We can't deal with
The intangibles...

I look to the day
When bees and humans
Live in bonhomie
And happiness and peace
Abound the earth
Not at their swiftest flight
But flapping their wings
Merrily all around!

Hope and promise are your fav themes and i feel it's all in my heart. Dove sings sweet songs in your verse. In fact Shazia left me with no words by her insightful comments(I'm no match to her)
I do agree with her. (Report) Reply

This wishful thought is stirring Indira ji for your play of imagination, observation and logic; the line Happiness is the state of mind has another aspect, like Huxley says, Pain is merely an opinion, so here I would like to share Bergsonian concept of La Duree, the Time, the clock time and the emotional time, your poem is the 2nd side of that la duree...! ! ! Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Three times I had the lust to kill,
To clutch a throat so young and fair,
And squeeze with all my might until
No breath of being lingered there.
Three times I drove the demon out,
