Wishing On Cranes Poem by Monica Dayson

Wishing On Cranes

My lovely cranes
One by one
Folded together
One by one
Their bodies so bright
One by one
Bringing me closer
One by one
To being alright.
One by one
My vision goes hazy
One by one
But I keep going
One by one
There are only a few left
One by one
Until I'll be okay
One by one
I make my wish
One by one
On paper wings
One by one
They set me free.
