With Tears I Sought Him Poem by J. D. Martin

With Tears I Sought Him

Rating: 4.5

By night with others sound asleep
They all had peace and rest.
My waking eyes were open wide
To lie I found it best.

I sought him whom my soul did love
With tears I sought him out.
He bowed his ear from heaven above
And stopped my crying mouth.

My hungry soul He filled with good
He soothed my doubts and fears.
My sores he washed with his pure blood
And took away my tears.

What to my Savior shall I give
Who freely gave to me?
I'll serve Him here while I still live
And for eternity.

A beautiful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with spiritual insight. A lovely poem of total submission to His Will, acknowledging the Omnipresence Omniscience Omnipotence nature of The Lord. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
