With That Same Measure (1)

God’s judgement with the bride will start
The church, that bears His name
With Spiritual Fire in her heart
Convicting her of shame

Revealing deeds of wanton sin
Purging her wayward land
The righteous Judge will soon begin
With those in Jesus’ hand

I speak to you in truth my friend
You say I’m not to judge
But all my words will Christ defend
And bear this child no grudge

Self-righteous! Yet you say of me
But God who dwells on high
Can see the times I bend the knee
For such as you, I cry

In Jesus Christ my words are true
My love, is His alone
Now in His name I speak to you
No more am I my own

The line I use is not too short
My scales and level’s good –Pro.11: 1
With this in mind I now report
And judge, as watchmen should –Eze.33: 1-20

With selfsame scales The Living God
Will judge each word I say
He’ll use on me the selfsame rod
As I now use today

Of this my friend I have no fear
I judge with love in mind
That’s why today I’m standing here
For God, the truth’s not blind…PTO…
